Safety
Ingestion
NEVER ingest Eucalyptus oil. Even small amounts can cause seizures, respiratory failure, and can be fatal. Seek immediate medical attention if swallowed.
Children
Do not use Eucalyptus globulus on children under 10 years old. The 1,8-cineole content can cause respiratory distress in young children. Use Eucalyptus radiata as a safer alternative.
Pets
Eucalyptus oil is toxic to cats and dogs. Do not diffuse around pets, especially in enclosed rooms. Never apply to animals.
Max dilution
Recommended topical dilution: 2-3% for adults (approximately 12-18 drops per 30ml carrier oil). Use 1% or less for sensitive skin, elderly, or facial application.
